Roman Links

Here are a few links to Roman websites that you might want to take a look at:

Fishbourne Roman Palace: the obvious starting point if you enjoyed The Leopard in the Golden Cage.

Roman history for kids: a good place to look for help with Roman homework!

English Heritage has a lot of Roman sites you can visit, in particular Hadrian's Wall.

Experience daily life in Roman Britain:

Vicus is one of several re-enactment societies who take part in events around the country, mainly during the summer months. Another similar society is Legio VIII Augusta MGV. I find 'living history' events give me a really good sense of what it would have been like to live in the past.

National Roman Legion Museum in Caerleon: they have lots of events all year round.
